Instagram Is Increasing Its Photo Resolution

Good news for all your Instagrammers out there - the Facebook-owned photo platform has unveiled that it will be improving the image quality on both iOS and Android, increasing the resolution from 640x640 to 1080x1080.

The move will allow the platform keep up with ever-increasing mobile screens and will make user's images look extra crisp on your iPhone Retina screen. No official date for the new resolution has been announced, but expect an update to the apps soon…
