A massive amount of music was released in June, so it’s taken us a little while to go through it all and decide which records are worthy of our growing Recommended Albums Playlist. We’ve chosen a whopping fifteen releases which we’ve been enjoying. They are the debut album from former Late Of The Pier man LA Priest, Rose from Atlanta’s Abra, Thundercat’s surprise new mini-LP, young British band Gengahr’s debut album, Jenny Hval’s incredible Apocalyspe, girl, Jamie xx’s first solo record In Colour, Girlpool’s debut Before The World Was Big, Jaakko Eino Kalevi’s s/t album for Weird World, Outfit’s second record Slowness, Oscar’s Beautiful Word’s EP for Wichita, Four Tet’s new one Morning/Evening, Vince Staples Summertime '06, Odd Future’s The Internet with their real great new album, Wolf Alice’s triumphant My Love Is Cool and Leon Bridges' soulful debut Coming Home.
