BBC’s annual Sound Of list has been revealed, with London-based singer/songwriter Jack Garratt taking the top spot. This hot new music tip should come as no surprise to most, with Garratt already picking up the UK’s other big new music seal of approval; the Brits Critics’ Choice Award. He was also crowned BBC Introducing’s Artist of the Year, so you can fully expect his music to forced upon the masses throughout 2016. There really will be no avoiding it.

Making up the rest of the top 5 (actually 6), the BBC picked Canadian singer Alessia Cara, psych-pop band Blossoms, London singer Nao, and Guernsey producer Mura Masa who tied with West London collective WSTRN.

Previous winners of the prize include Sam Smith, Adele and HAIM, as well as the likes of the The Bravery and Little Boots… Take a listen to Jack Garratt below.
