The New York Public Library Opens a Vast Archive of Free Images

  • Posted 28 months Ago

The New York Public Library has just opened up its vast digital archives to the public, allowing access to over 180,000 restriction-free images including hi-res photographs, illustrations and maps.

All the images can be downloaded for free and can be shared as people wish without any permission necessary. Collections and series of images are constantly being digitalised by the NYPL, so the library should continue to grow well into the future.
