The winners of the 2016 World Press Photo competition have been announced, unveiling an incredible and hard-hitting selection of images taken by photographers from across the globe. Whittled down from a whopping 82,951 photographs submitted by 5,775 photographers, the winning image seen above is from Australian Warren Richardson. Titled 'Hope for a New Life,' it shows a man passing a baby through a barb wire fence at the Hungarian-Serbian border.
