After hinting at the release of a new secret project through Instagram, Beyoncé has premiered a visual album called "Lemonade" through HBO. The album has also now become exclusively available through TIDAL and features appearances from Jack White, James Blake, Kendrick Lamar, and the Weeknd.
Beyonce has divided the project into five chapters - Intuition, Denial, Apthy, Emptiness, and Resurrection - all of which are connected by a reading of Warsaw Shire's poetry. It focuses on both wider political issues and personal subjects, acting as an ode to black women while also using home video footage of her dad, her wedding to Jay Z, her pregnancy, and her daughter Blue Ivy's birthday party to convey a deeply personal story.
It's unclear at this stage whether the album will stay exclusively on TIDAL or if it will get a wider release in a few weeks time. You can listen to a preview of each of the tracks below.
