A lot of people already use various groups on Facebook to buy and sell goods, so it only makes sense that the social network has now rolled out a new feature called "Marketplace", letting you buy and sell with those nearby.

Once you enter the Marketplace, you'll see a selection of items people nearby are you are selling. From there, you can change the location, category, or price to find something more specific. Much like Gumtree, however, Facebook doesn't deal with any of the payment processing, so it's more of a cash-in-hand job.

Selling something is just as easy as well, simply upload a photo along with the price and some more details and the location and you're all good to go.

Marketplace will roll out as part of Facebook's iPhone and Android app soon in the UK, US, Australia, and New Zealand. Other countries will also soon have access and it may also be released on desktop.
