Yesterday, Tim Heidecker of Tim & Eric shared a new song called "Trump’s Private Pilot" as a part of the 30 Days, 30 Songs project. It’s written from the perspective of Donald’s Trump’s private pilot, who reveals he wants intentionally crash the plane while the Presidential candidate is in it. Heidecker explains futher: "My humor tends to skew dark, so I imagined a kamikaze style situation, where the pilot sacrifices himself for the sake of the country. I’ve performed it live a few times, and let me tell you: there’s a real cathartic satisfaction in singing the last few lines, and I always choke up a bit."

Father John Misty has shared a cover of the track, using his soulful tones to make the dark humoured ballad feel all the more meaningful. It’s pretty spectacular. Take a listen to it below alongside the original.
