If you’re not short of a few bob this Christmas and are looking to give someone something extra special, then a luxury watch could be a great option. Farer is a relatively new watch company that creates exquisite looking timepieces designed at their London studio, and their range of automatics are simply stunning. We’ve picked out the Endurance as our favourite to take a closer look at.
Named after the wooden ship which carried Sir Ernest Shackleton and his crew on a legendary Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition in 1914, the Endurance is an elegantly designed piece inspired by vintage watches from the 1950s and ‘60s. It features a classically curved dial with a red and blue track running around its edge, navy blue hour numerals separated by simple baton markers, a domed sapphire crystal glass and Farer’s striking signature solid bronze crown.
The polished stainless steel case houses a Swiss ETA 2824-2 movement that is renowned for its accuracy, dependability and longevity, coming with a reassuring 60-month guarantee.
Considering the quality Farer offer, the price point for their automatics is pretty incredible. You can get one, including the wonderful Endurance seen above and below, for £875.
