An official trailer has been unveiled for legendary musician David Byrne's upcoming film Contemporary Color. It documents an event he held at Brooklyn's Barclays Center back in the summer of 2015, which celebrated the creativity of Color Guard: synchronized dance routines involving flags, rifles, and sabers, colloquially known as "the sport of the arts."

Performers recruited by Byrne included St. Vincent, Nelly Furtado, Devonté Hynes, Zola Jesus, Ad-Rock, tUnE-yArDs, and Ira Glass, all of whom collaborated on original pieces with 10 color guard teams from across the US and Canada. The result was a truly unique and original performance.

Contemporary Color was directed by Bill Ross and Turner Ross and will have a limited release on 1 March, 2017.
