Set to retail for $349 USD, the HomePod's specifications certainly stand up to the competition. It's been fitted with an array of seven tweeters (each with its own amplifier), a 4-inch upward-facing subwoofer, and a powerful A8 chip, meaning it should sound pretty incredible for its size. A "spacial awareness" feature will also allow it to automatically adjust to its surroundings, provide you with the best sound possible.

Six embedded microphones will allow it to pick up a "Hey Siri" command even at long distances and with music at full volume and a Siri waveform will appear on the top of the device when it's activated. From there, you can update your calendar, set reminders, or receive updates on the news, weather, and traffic.

The Apple HomePod will be available in both white and space gray. It will ship in December in the US, UK, and Australia.
