Tim Burton's version of Dumbo has been revealed (and it's terrifying)

So far, Disney's been pretty successful with its live-action remakes of animated classics. Both Cinderella and The Jungle Book did well at the box office and were well-received by critics, so it only makes sense for them to continue down the same path right? Well, they've decided to take a slightly different route for the upcoming remake of 1941's Dumbo, recruiting director Tim Burton to put a unique twist of the children's story.

Right now, you're probably wondering what a Tim Burton version of Dumbo might look like. Well, wonder no more, because a life size model of the elephant was wheeled on stage at the D23 Expo, and it had everyone pretty terrified. Check it out below.

In addition to the model, the main cast of the film were also announced. Colin Farrell will take the role of Golt Farrier, the former circus star and war-veteran who cares for Dumbo, while Danny DeVito will play the circus' owner Max Medici. Michael Keaton has also been cast as entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere and Eva Green will play aerial artist Colette Marchant.

Dumbo is due for release on 29 March 2019.
