Lenovo has unveiled a tablet that can fold into a smartphone

It may seem like smartphones and tablets are close to reaching their maximum potential, but brands are working flat out to continue to innovate and attract consumer attention. One such company is Lenovo, who just unveiled a concept tablet-slash-smarphone called the Folio.

The device was demonstrated at its annual Tech World event, where a small crowd were impressed by the 7.8-inch tablet's ability to fold in half and become a fully functional 5.5-inch smartphone.

The tablet runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, as well as a screen resolution of 1,920 x 1,440.

There are currently no plans to officially release the Folio, but this video gives us a good insight into some of the technologies these companies are pushing forward with.
