Philip K. Dick is known for his stories which inspired iconic films such as Blade Runner, Total Recall and Minority Report, exploring social, political and philosophical themes in surreal worlds. The first trailer for an excellent looking new anthology series based on his short stories has just been released.

Titled Electric Dreams, the sci-fi/drama series will feature 10 standalone episodes each set in a unique world inspired by one of his renowned short stories. Produced by Bryan Cranston and including a cast featuring featuring Steve Buscemi, Timothy Spall and Janelle Monae to name a few, Electric Dreams will draw similarities to Charlie Brooker's Black Mirror, with stories of warped realities and disturbing dystopias. Episode titles include "Human Is", "Impossible Planet", "Real Life" and "The Commuter".
