Brilliant Danish headphone maker AIAIAI has just launched its new H05 wireless headband for the excellent TMA-2 Modular Headphone System. The headband comes after a successful Kickstarter campaign launched last year to help get the project into production.

It's the first major update to the TMA-2 system and it works with any of the currently available speaker units to instantly enable high quality Bluetooth audio transmission. The integration of the headband with all of the existing components ensures that full modularity is retained, allowing existing TMA-2 owners the choice to update to a wireless system while still keeping their sound preference and set-up as is.

AIAIAI’s Head of New Product Development Christian Buch Lorentzen explains via press release: "At first, we explored whether creating a new speaker unit could be a way to introduce wireless technology to the system. But that felt wrong somehow, as it would be limiting to have only a few wireless sound con gurations. That’s why we came up with this idea of integrating the bluetooth module into the headband, to maintain that 100% modularity".

The headband features Bluetooth 4.2, aptX HD, aptX, AAC, and SPC codecs, USB-c port, 16-hours of playback time, a 2-hour charging time, an omnidirectional microphone and simple play, pause, skip, volume, and answer call controls.

It’s available now direct from AIAIAI for 125 euros/$125, with wireless preset configurations starting at 235 euros/$235.
