Amazon now lets you place products in your home with augmented reality

Following in the footsteps of IKEA, Amazon has added a new augmented reality feature on its app which utilises Apple's ARKit to let you test out products in your home before purchasing.

Of course, the feature doesn't work with all of Amazon's millions of products, but it is already compatible with thousands of interior design items, toys, electronics and games. To try it out, simply open up the Amazon app, click the camera icon in the search bar, and then tap AR View to select a product. You can use one finger to move the item around the room and then swivel it using two fingers.

The feature is currently only available for iPhone (6S or higher) and iOS 11. Check it out in the video above.
