Urbanears has introduced a new version of its bestselling Plattan headphones, the wireless Plattan 2 Bluetooth, and we've got our hands on a couple of pairs to give them the once over.

Straight out of the box the Plattan 2 Bluetooth feels like a very neat, functional, minimal product. The clean matte finish is complemented with a super-flexible fabric-topped headband, silver accents, and a cute little Urbanears tab. The design is collapsable too, with the earphones satisfyingly folding into the headband, making easy to take the headphones with you wherever you go.

With the design much the same as the Plattan 2, the big difference in this new model is the wireless technology, so all of you iPhone 7, 8, and X users will be able to listen to music with ease, even without the endangered headphone jack. We know the worry with wireless headphones is always battery life, but Urbanears has got it covered with an impressive 30+ hours of wireless playtime on a single charge, a lot higher than the industry standard.

The sound is crisp and bright, with the on-ear headphones doing a good job at fully immersing audio for a clear sound experience. They pack a punch too, the bass comes though nicely when you push the levels whilst still maintaining a nicely rounded tone.

Controlling the headphones couldn’t be easier too. There are no overly technical gestures or anything like that, instead there’s just a single intuitive control knob for skipping tracks, adjusting the volume, and picking up calls.

The Plattan 2 Bluetooth are offered up in five classic Urbanears colours: Black, Dark Grey, Indigo, Tomato, and White. They retail for £85, which is very descent for the quality they provide.

Head over to the Urbanears website to find out more and order a pair for yourself.
