Watch the official teaser trailer for Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse

Sony Pictures has just unveiled the very first teaser trailer for its upcoming animated Spider-Man film, which this time focussing on Miles Morales instead of Peter Parker. In the 82-second clip, we're given a glimpse at the film's rather beautiful animation style and are hit with the tagline "More than one wears the mask".

The lead character, Miles Morales, was first introduced back in 2011 and was also bitten by a radioactive spider, giving him super-human abilities. He'll be voiced by Shameik Moore, who you may already know from Netflix's The Get Down and the story will most likely be set after the Green Goblin has killed Peter Parker. The synopsis reads:

"Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the creative minds behind The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street, bring their unique talents to a fresh vision of a different Spider-Man Universe, with a groundbreaking visual style that’s the first of its kind. “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask."

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse will be released on 21 December, 2018.
