Netflix shares 2017 "A Year in Bingeing" stats

Netflix has shared a load of data revealing the most popular shows which people binged-watched in 2017. Although it had already revealed the UK’s top 20 most binge-watched shows, these stats delve a little deeper, breaking up shows into four categories revealing not just what people watched, but how they watched.

The categories are: the shows we devoured, the shows we savoured, the shows that got us cheating, and the shows that brought us together.

The Shows That Got Us Cheating in 2017 (shows members watched ahead of their significant others)

Netflix also shared a couple of other broader stats, revealing users around the world watched more than 140 million hours per day, which totals a little over a billion hours per week, with the most popular day for streaming being 1 January.
