The new thermal design will also allow for up to 80 percent more cooling capacity while up to 4 terabytes of SSD storage keeps the machine running smoothly and quietly.

"We reengineered the whole system and designed an entirely new thermal architecture to pack extraordinary performance into the elegant, quiet iMac enclosure our customers love," said John Ternus, Apple’s vice president of Hardware Engineering. "iMac Pro is a huge step forward and there’s never been anything like it."

Release is set for 14 December, 2017, with prices starting at 4,999.
