Lana Del Rey sued by Radiohead for allegedly ripping off "Creep"

Radiohead are currently in the process of suing Lana Del Rey over her Lust For Life track "Get Free". The band allege that it rips off their Pablo Honey hit "Creep".

Lana confirmed the lawsuit was happening by tweeting about it yesterday. She said "Although I know my song wasn’t inspired by Creep, Radiohead feel it was and want 100% of the publishing", and also revealed that the group rejected an offer of 40% with the matter now heading to court.

Radiohead themselves were sued over similarities between "Creep" and The Hollies’ 1972 song "The Air That I Breathe". The Hollies now have cowriting credits on the track and receive a percentage of the royalties.

Take a listen to Lana Del Rey’s "Get Free" and Radiohead’s "Creep" below to see how they compare.
