The short month of February has been and gone, but it brought with it plenty of new albums and EPs which are most definitely worth listening to. We’ve picked out our favourite 14 to highlight here for our monthly Recommended selection.

They are: the wonderful We Out Here compilation from Brownswood Recordings, Shirt’s Pure Beauty, MGMT’s return to form with Little Dark Age, XL Recordings’ boss Richard Russell with his project Everything Is Recorded, Hookworms' latest Microshift, Ravyn Lenae’s Steve Lacey featuring Crush EP, Anna Burch’s debut, Field Music’s new album Open Here, Insecure Men’s self-titled debut, Rhye's new LP Blood, Rejjie Snow’s long-awaited full length, Sub Pop signee's Loma with their first record, the Black Panther soundtrack, and finally the fantastic new EP from Charlotte Day Wilson.
