It's official - Kim Jones is moving to Dior.

After leaving his role as artistic director of Louis Vuitton back in January, it was predicted that Jones would be shifting over to Burberry of Givenchy, but it's now been announced he will replace Kris Van Assche as the creative director of Dior Homme. Speaking about the decision, Jones said:

"I am deeply honored to join the house of Dior, a symbol of the ultimate elegance. I would like to warmly thank Bernard Arnault and Pietro Beccari for their trust in giving me this incredible opportunity. I am committed to create a modern and innovative male silhouette built upon the unique legacy of the house."

It's one of the first big shake ups of the brand by newly appointed chairman and CEO of Christian Dior Couture, Pietro Beccari, who said he is confident Jones "will continue to further develop Dior Homme on a global scale."

The direction he will take Dior Homme is yet to be seen and, given the scale of the business, Jones has a big job on his hands. He starts at the company on 1 April and his first collection for the brand will be shown in June, so we will have to wait and see what he comes up with.
