Elon Musk has deleted the Telsa and SpaceX Facebook Pages

Despite the #deletefacebook movement continuing to gain momentum, very few people are actually going the full hog and removing themselves from the platform. After all, it's pretty hard to make the commitment – do you really want to lose (or go to the effort of downloading) all those photos and can you really be bothered to create a new login for each website instead of just doing the quick and easy "Login with Facebook" option?

One high profile person did take the plunge though – Elon Musk. After someone directed a tweet at Musk saying "Delete SpaceX page on Facebook if you're the man?", the tech billionaire accepted, replying "I didn’t realize there was one. Will do."

This was quickly followed up by someone screenshotting the Tesla Facebook page and saying "this should be deleted too right?" to which he calmly replied "Definitely. Looks lame anyway." Just like that, within 5 minutes of the Twitter exchange, the pages vanished into the ether, each of which had over 2.5 million followers when they were deactivated.

Will you follow in his footsteps?
