Continuing its run of collaborations, IKEA has unveiled a new range made alongside Chris Stamp, the LA-based fashion designer and creative director of Stampd.

Named SPÄNST, IKEA says the limited edition collection "embodies what it means to organize and display our favorite and most prized possessions" and explores the changes and needs of young homes today, focussing primarily on active, urban lifestyles.

The result is an eclectic range of homeware, accessories, and apparel, including IKEA's first ever skateboard, a basketball hoop, clothing rails, sneaker storage boxes, a cap, various hoodies and t-shirts, and a weekend bag. Everything has been produced using smart materials in a monochrome colour palette.

"Fashion and furniture are different animals but the creative process is similar. Design, no matter the medium, is always about nding the right solution to a challenge," says Stamp. "I never let the setbacks define me. There are always going to be times when things don’t go your way. Looking back, I believe those struggles made me a better designer."

The collection will be available for a limited time at all IKEA stores in the US beginning this May. It's currently unclear if the collection will be launched worldwide.
