Kanye West announces new solo album and collaborative album with Kid Cudi

Today was a big day for Kanye West, who took to Twitter to announce a new solo album as well as a collaborative album with Kid Cudi. The former will feature seven new tracks and is due out on 1 June, while the latter will be released just one week later on 8 June. "It's called Kids See Ghost. That's the name of our group," Kanye tweeted.

Nothing else is really known about the albums at this stage, although producer and frequent Kanye-collaborator Rick Rubin was spotted at Kanye’s offices in Calabasas recently. Past collaborators including Cudi, Nas, Travis Scott, King Louie, The-Dream, and producer Mike Dean were also reportedly staying at the resort town of Jackson, Wyoming, along with Kanye and his wife Kim Kardashian last month, leading E! News to speculate that the rapper had some new music on the way soon.

Prior to the announcement of the new albums, Kanye has been tweeting out a number of philosophical thoughts, such as "we're all servants", "today will be the greatest day so far. Life keeps getting better and better" and "if you wanna see the true character of person watch the way they treat someone who can't do anything for them."

Stay tuned for more info.
