The WVIL Concept Camera

The award-winning design team over at Seattle-based company Artefact have come up with the WVIL Concept Camera, which aims to answer the question "what's next for camera design?"

The patent-pending WVIL (Wireless Viewfinder Interchangeable Lens) system combines the connectivity and platform capabilities of current smart phones with SLR lenses which, they say, offers "the inevitable solution for photographers who expect the power of modern mobile devices but who also demand uncompromised quality." By incorporating an iPhone-like touch screen into the back of the camera, people will be able to colour adjust and crop their images in-body, and then directly upload them to a number of available social networks.

You can read what Artefact think photography will be like three years in the future here and watch a minute-long video demonstration of the proposed camera below.
