After finding his feet and shooting in black-and-white for the first half of his career, photographer Constantine Manos now uses colour to create beautifully radiant, layered, compositions. In the series and book American Color, Manos presents 80 images which were, more or less, all shot at 1/250 of a second.
"It's a remarkable thought about the moment - that 1/250 of a second, of a minute, of an hour, of a day, of a year, that is gone forever, that you made this image at that precise time - that will never be made again."
