Born in Bavaria in 1969, photographer Werner Amann has always been drawn to the American landscape, documenting it since the mid-90s. His work carries an arresting cinematic quality which allows the viewer to fully immerse themselves in the night atmospheres, deserted industrial areas, and the seemingly boundless desserts of California and Mexico.
