• Video: iPhone 4S vs. Canon 5D MKII
  • Posted 36 months ago by staff · Art & Design · 6906 Views
  • A new video from Robino Films sees the camera in the iPhone 4S put to the test against the Canon 5D MKII. Robino Films managed to rig the cameras in a way which allowed them both to shoot at exactly the same time. The exposure, shutter speed and frame rate were also matched as closely as possible. How do you think the iPhone fairs?

    • the 5D has bokeh that is easier on the eye, and picks up colour better in the shadowed areas. The colours are much realer on the 5D in the last two scenes, however the tint on the iPhone is quite nicely saturated.

    • i'm not quite sure why someone compared the iphone 4s to a canon 5d mark ii which is has mostly a still image camera. the filming function on a 5d is just an added bonus. the canon 7d would of made more sense as a comparison. the iphone seems to do just a good a job as and small hd compact camera but will never be able to compete with the variations of lenses canon 7d's and professional film cameras can offer. although you can't fit all that professional gear in your pocket. also, nick, the canon 50mm prime lens is f/1.2 not f/1.8 and you can mount them onto your iphone. http://photojojo.com/store/awesomeness/iphone-slr-mount/
