Williams Studio is a new photographer's studio designed by gh3 and built above a boathouse on Stony Lake, Ontario, Canada. The space was built and designed with some basic concepts in mind - interior and exterior unity, material clarity, and open space. With huge north-facing windows, the double-height studio gives unparalleled natural light throughout the day and gives stunning views of the ever-changing surrounding landscape.
Sliding glass panels, 3 meters wide on the ground floor, also allow for natural ventilation and, if you ever find yourself wanting a bit of privacy, there's a blind system with serves as a second skin, "transforming the interior into an enclosed, intimate space, and the exterior into a gently reflective mirror of the surroundings."
The perfect artistic space?
