NOWNESS have just premiered a film by photographer Ryan McGinley which features model Carolyn Murphy (face of Estée Lauder and Vogue's model of the year 1998) kissing a dog and having various glass objects (including a fishbowl) smashed on her head, all in extreme slow motion. Entitled Entrance Romance, the short was shot with a Phantom camera capable of recording over 1,000 fps, allowing us to see every little expression made by Murphy. Apparently McGinley was keen to show the iconic, all-American girl in a new context - "We wanted her to look happy and in control, but still vulnerable" said make-up artist James Kaliardos.
