Ryan McGinley has shot actress, model, and fashion designer Sienna Miller for the April 2012 issue of British Vogue. The New York-based photographer used a style similar to the one in his recent shoot for Edun, but swapped the butterflies for birds and flowers. Take a look at the images below.

- I like McGinley's work, especially the series shot in caves (the name eludes me) but whilst his later photographs may sometimes be posed (he said in the VICE Photo Book something like he hated waiting for things to happen because he wasn't shooting enough) his editorial work looks too... staged. I don't know, it's probably the brief he's been given, but it isn't natural enough for me. He's still a great photographer and there's always going to be plenty of people ragging on him because he spawned a sub-culture of people taking naked photographs of their friends doing stupid shit, and of course a homage to an artist whose work you enjoy would be sacrilege in the eyes of the anti-youth-arts brigade (or it'll just incense them enough to post potentially hurtful, over-critical comments).
