Paula Nelson Documents The Aftermath of Hurricane Sandy

  • Posted 72 months Ago

Labelled one of the most severe storms to hit the Eastern seaboard in recent history, Hurricane Sandy devastated the lives of thousands, plunging eight million people into darkness and causing damage upwards of $20 billion (estimates go as high as $50 billion). As people begin to get back on their feet, photographer Paula Nelson documented the beginnings of a load road to rebuilding. In the collection of images we see everything from washed away houses and collapsed fairgrounds to flooded underground stations and people returning to work.
