• Moonrise Kingdom Wins Gotham Award

  • After winning the top prize at the 2012 Gotham independent film awards on Monday night, Wes Anderson's coming-of-age film Moonrise Kingdom is now being tipped for Oscar success. The leads of the film, Jared Gilman and Kaya Howard, accepted the award for best feature at the annual New York event, while Marion Cotillard and Matt Damon received honorary awards celebrating their careers.

    Past winners of The Gotham awards include Terrence Malick's The Tree of Life, Mike Mills' romantic comedy Beginners, and Kathryn Bigelow's The Hurt Locker.
