  • At Christmas time not even gloomy British band The xx can avoid getting in the festive spirit, covering WHAM!'s world-famous track "Last Christmas" while on BBC's Radio 1 Live Lounge on Monday. Admittedly, band members Oliver Sim and Romy Croft do manage to bring the mood of the song down with their minimalistic and hurt-filled vocals accompanied by a stripped-down backing, but with the narrative of the lyrics it actually seems rather fitting.
