• Tracey Emin in Times Square
  • Posted 19 months ago by staff · Art & Design · 6925 Views
  • Three minutes before midnight every evening next month, a neon romantic message by Tracey Emin will appear on 40 video screens in the heart of Times Square in New York. Just in time for Valentine's Day, the lovelorn phrases include "Love is what you want" and "I can't believe how much I loved you" and will spell themselves out as if being written by an invisible hand. The arrangement is part of a deal with the Times Square Advertising Coalition, who organise the screens and have agreed to lend the Times Square Alliance three minutes a day to organize fleeting public art projects. Speaking about the project, Emin said she hoped people would stand underneath them and kiss.
