• Grimes & Saint Laurent Paris Capsule Collection
  • Posted 23 months ago by Jack Lowe · style · 9588 Views
  • Artist and musician Claire Boucher aka. Grimes has worked with Saint Laurent Paris and Hedi Slimane to create a five piece capsule collection featuring her original artwork on white and black t-shirts. Inspired by Yves Saint Laurent's "Love Poster" series from the 1970s, the artwork mythical creatures and tribal heads surrounding the words "Love" and the trademark letters "YSL". Prior to this Grimes ventured into the world of fashion with a line of vagina-shaped rings and when asked if she would like to start her own line she replied "Hell ya! I kind of want to make a line of chainmail in the short term." The t-shirts are available now starting from £190.

    • And Hedi continues to rip the YSL brand to shreds. Are you JOKING? Making tshirts with Grimes? YSL was one of the last standing old school fashion houses. I'm sure Yves is rolling in his grave.

    • @KG, agreed, however I actually would buy and wear the t-shorts, they are great. what is a great brand/fashion house if its inside an ivory tower.

    • @JC, sure they're neat looking, but if you're going to sell t-shirts, best climb out of the ivory tower with the price tag as well.

    • These are shocking - what's with making the model wear a XS too? Terrible. Yves is turning in his grave

    • i never leave comments such as this one, but really? i too think that yves would be rolling in his grave, and i will never understand tshirts that cost this much. tshirts are meant to be worn while working, exploring and playing. i would never want to play in a tshirt at that cost, and frankly theyre too plain to hang on a wall. please, consider featuring different artists that are at least trying to create a difference, not just those that are already celebrities.
