James Murphy - perhaps best known for his musical project LCD Soundsystem - has filed a lawsuit with the Manhattan Civil Supreme Court against his DFA records business partner Tim Goldsworthy for "breach of contract" and "unjust enrichment." Apparently Goldsworthy was compensated $93,899 USD for unperformed work, while it has also been reported that he used DFA's company credit cards and cash for non-business reasons. Three years ago, Goldsworthy and his family left the country unannounced and moved to London. He has not made contact with the record label ever since. According to the lawsuit, Murphy made attempts to "amicably resolve this matter" in the past but was "rebuffed" by Goldsworthy.
