  • Posted 62 months Ago

The much-anticipated new camera from Leica - which was first presented as a secret black box amongst their other "M" series offerings - has now been accidentally unveiled through a French iPad app. Although we only have a brief glimpse of what the Leica Mini "M" camera will look like, some specs have also been leaked revealing the camera will have a 16.1 megapixel APS-C sensor and a fixed Leica Elmar 28-70mm f/3.5-6.4 lens. Reportedly manufactured from aluminium, the Mini "M" will include support for an optional electronic viewfinder and will supposedly offer HD video recording alongside a copy of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom which will ship in the box. An official introduction from Leica is set for 11 June and we can expect the price to be around the 2,450 EUR (approx. $3,150 USD) mark.
