To help raise money for charity, Marc Newson and Jonathan Ive - the Senior Vice President of Design at Apple - have designed a one-of-a-kind Leica M rangefinder camera. The camera will be going on auction through Sotheby's and is expected to fetch between $500,000 and $750,000 USD, with all proceeds going towards HIV and AIDS charity (RED). Officially known as the Leica M for (RED), the camera features a "laser machined aluminum body and an anodized aluminum outer shell" and comes with the a 24 megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor and 50mm f/2 lens. Apparently Ive and Newson worked together for 85 days, going through over 500 models to come up with the perfect final product. In case you want to bid, the Sotheby's auction is being held on 23 November, 2013, in New York.
