  • Iconic 72-year-old British fashion designer Dame Vivienne Westwood has announced that she will be working on an autobiography alongside renowned biographer Ian Kelly. The book will be published by New York-based Picador and will highlight Westwood's event-filled life in candid detail, revealing previously untold stories including her brief stint as a primary school teacher. Of course, Westwood will also reminisce about her early life in fashion, detailing how she transformed the classic menswear and womenswear silhouette by adding a splash punk-inspired rebellion. Speaking about the release, Westwood said: "The living deserve respect. The dead deserve the truth; Ian and I are working together on this and I am excited that this will be my story, the story nobody ever did before." Release is due for October 2014.
