To offer something for the high-end photographer, Panasonic have teamed up with Leica to offer a new line of super-fast lenses. The first release is a 42.5mm f/1.2 model, dubbed Nocticron, which features a new design of stepping motor to enable fast and accurate auto-focus even when being used at big apertures. There's also a new optical image stabilisation feature which helps with shooting in low-light conditions. The 42.5mm lens is available to pre-order now for $1,599 USD (approx. 975) and will be shipped in the next few months.
