  • Who knew such a boring sounding video could actually be so interesting (at least to someone the slightest bit interested in typography). Filmed by designer Tom Williams during the early hours of a London morning two years ago, the road painters show off their lettering skills without the use of a stencil. "I could see them moving down the road painting some other road signs, and knew there was supposed to be a BUS STOP sign in that spot, so I set the tripod and camera up and waited for them to start," says Williams. "They block out the area of each letter pretty roughly as you can see," writes Williams, "then just freehand within that. No stencilling."
