First there was the gold-plated $15,000 skateboard, now there's a 24K Gold Extreme Mountain Bike. Valued at $1 million due to its 24K gold plating and an emblem "encrusted with over 600 Black Diamonds (6.0 carats in total) and 500 Golden Sapphires (4.5 carats in total)", the handcrafted bicycle has become the most expensive in the world. Other luxuries include a customised saddle made from "the finest chocolate brown alligator" and a one-of-a-kind water bottle that's covered in gold plating an "accented with chocolate brown stingray".
Thirteen of these bikes are being produced, but to be honest we can't imagine even one person stupid enough to make the purchase. What do you think?
