  • As camera technology continues to advance and becomes increasingly available to the masses, super slow-motion videos have become pretty commonplace on YouTube, mainly documenting everything from watermelons to iPhones being shot at or blown apart. John Huhn from the Motion Engineering department at Purdue University's College has taken it one step further though, firing a ping pong ball at a supersonic speed and smashing it right through a solid ping pong paddle. All this was filmed at an astonishing 30,000 frames per second (ie. 1,200 times slower than normal).
