Leica is celebrating the 60th anniversary of M rangefinder system this year and they have just unveiled a new limited edition Leica 60 model which pays homage to their tradition while embracing the future. It utilises just four basic functions; shutter speed, aperture, focusing and ISO sensitivity, using a newly designed Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH stainless steel lens. The cameras most unique feature though is that it excludes the LCD display, forcing the photographer to treat it more like a film camera, framing your shot using the viewfinder and waiting to see the results once they have been uploaded somewhere to view on a screen.

The Leica M Edition 60 was designed in collaboration with Audi Design and will be available in an edition 600. You can pre-order it from the Leica store for the handsome sum of $18,500 (£11,435).
