NYC Radio Sounds From the Night John Lennon Died

34 Years ago yesterday (December 8, 1980) John Lennon was shot and killed in New York. The night he died, someone created a collage of FM radio in NYC, picking up the city's reaction to his death on the airwaves. The six-minute recording captures almost every station either playing a Beatles song, or talking about his death. The recording also documents distressed listeners calling in to stations to share their feelings - “I can't think of anyone who deserves more to live for what they have given us”.
