A look at the first Hyperloop capsule, capable of reaching speeds over 750mph

Hyperloop has released a new video showcasing the world’s first full-scale passenger Hyperloop capsule. Named the “Quintero One”, the pod is being built in Spain by Airtificial and will be capable of reaching speeds of over 750mph.

To create such a high-tech piece of transportation, Priestman Goode actually developed a brand new “smart” material called Vibranium, which they call the safest material on earth due to its unique ability to monitor impacts and integrity. It’s also 10 times stronger than steel and five times as light. “We’re manufacturing the capsule with a double layer, so if one skin is damaged you still have the other one and can take the capsule out of circulation,” says Dirk Ahlborn, the co-founder and CEO of HyperloopTT.

Hyperloop systems have already been confirmed in China, Ukraine, and UAE, and there are hopes it will also come to Europe and the US.
