Apple has just sent out invites to its next big event, due to take place at the new Steve Jobs Theatre in Cupertino on 12 September.

Sticking to its secretive nature, Apple hasn’t revealed exactly what the event is for, but the tech giant generally uses a September date to unveil its latest iPhone models. Reports so far suggest that three new iPhones could be showcased – two of which are rumoured to use the iPhone XS moniker – as well as a new iPad Pro and a 4th generation Apple Watch. As usual, much has been speculated about the design of the invite (see above), but nothing has been confirmed. The best guess so far is that a round wireless charger is coming to “gather” all your devices around.

In terms of additional iPhone rumours, it’s believed Apple has been working on a larger version of the iPhone X, as well as a cheaper model. New colours are also expected, alongside the usual improvements to performance, battery life, and screen resolution (although how much further they can take that we really don’t know).

As always, precise details are scarce, but if you were thinking of getting a new Apple product you might want to hold off until 12 September.
